Shortchanging Scams

We have many reports that cashiers are shortchanging customers. Shortchanging scams are on the rise with difficulties experienced through the economy downturn. Scammers have been trying to take advantage of the economic downturn.

To con artists, today’s challenging economy presents just another opportunity to play on consumers’ worry and defraud them out of money.” Count all change each time after making a transaction involving cash exchange with a cashier.

Don't leave the place of transaction without raising your short-change concerns with a cashier. It is usually too late after you walk away, to come back to a cashier and expect to have money returned to you due to a short-change transaction.

Cashiers can raise their income while you become a victim of shortchanging.
